Funding of $4 million over 4 years is available in Australia for:
- Stream A – $3.2 million ($800,000 per year) from 2016-17 to 2019-20 to support the establishment of ‘maker spaces’ in Australian schools where students can apply their science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) knowledge, develop entrepreneurial skills and gain experience in working with emerging and advancing technologies.
- The minimum grant is $2,000 and the maximum grant is $5,000 per school.
- Stream B – $800,000 ($200,000 per year) from 2016-17 to 2019-20 to deliver STEM and innovation related events and education activities in partnership with industry for youth under 18 years of age.
- The minimum grant is $5,000 and the maximum grant is $20,000 per eligible organisation.
